There is a single knowledge area, epidemiology, including two research tracks. The PhD program is organized in units of credit (15 hours of classes/activities correspond to one credit). The student plan is created under the advisor’s supervision, including regular disciplines, special credits and the thesis.
The PPG-DEpi rules provide the number of credits required for obtaining the PhD degree. Graduate student owing Master degree should conclude the Program up to 46 months and get at least 168 credits, being 16 obtained in disciplines/other activities and 152 at the thesis confection.
Graduate student without Master degree (“Straight Doutoral”) should conclude the Program up to 58 months and get at least 192 credits, being 40 obtained in disciplines/other activities and 152 at the thesis.
