  • Epidemiology of diseases and health injuries (RL1):

Purposes of this RT are: 1) to develop studies aiming at identifying, quantifying and characterizing health injuries and their determinants in populations; 2) to produce knowledge on the natural history of health-related events; 3) to evaluate effectiveness and security of programmatic and technological interventions.

  • Methods and techniques of analysis in epidemiology (RT2):

The epidemiological method (study design, field data collection, and analysis and results presentation) requires quantitative assessment of health-related outcomes in populations. This RT purpose is the enhancement of epidemiological and statistical methods, applied to investigations of health problems, aiming at accurate and consistent results for further utility for the control of health problems.
